Lara Gothique is a well-established, fully qualified, and highly respected Personal Trainer & Fitness Teacher, with an excellent reputation in her field of business since 1991.
With over 35 years of professional qualifications, experience, ongoing study, training, and professional development, Lara specialises in rehabilitation following sports injuries, accidents, illness, and surgery. She has an extensive background in pre- and post-natal health & fitness, post-operative breast care, post-operative rehabilitation, and regularly supports clients with long-term and complex physical needs. As a result of her expertise and professional standards, Lara regularly receives client and patient referrals from GPs, Consultants, Physiotherapists, Chiropractors, and Midwives.
Each class is a carefully curated blend of Yoga and Pilates-based movement, combined with elements of the Alexander Technique and physiotherapy-style exercise. The focus is on moving well, safely, and with greater awareness of body and mind.
Classes are designed to help you build strength, improve mobility and posture, support joint health, and leave feeling calmer, more grounded, and more comfortable in your body.
Each session is accessible for beginners, while still offering progression and challenge for those with more experience.
All fitness and rehabilitation programmes are individually tailored, always working within your own physical capabilities and limitations. Ongoing professional development ensures you are always taught and supported to an excellent, medically informed standard, within a safe and supportive environment.
Lara is dedicated to helping everyone she teaches reaches their maximum potential - often exceeding the initial goals set by her clients, while prioritising safety, confidence, and long-term physical wellbeing.
Specialities:
- Post-op rehabilitation, including (but not limited to): heart surgery, spinal/back surgery, hernia repair, hip and knee replacements, mastectomy recovery, bone injuries, and rehabilitation following road traffic accidents
- Pre & post-natal fitness, including support for Symphysis Pubis Dysfunction (SPD), post-C-section recovery, and rebuilding core strength safely
- Dealing with chronic conditions & long-term illness/injury, with a focus on safe, adaptable movement
- Sports injuries
- General day-to-day injury/illness rehabilitation (eg: falls, sprains, back pain, sciatica, arthritis, general wear & tear, etc.)
- Peri-menopausal and menopausal support, addressing strength, mobility, fatigue, and physical changes
- Support with hypermobility-related issues, including joint stability, strength, and body awareness
- Additional in-depth, personalised programmes and one-to-one support are also available by arrangement
All classes are run with absolute inclusivity in mind. You do not need to be fit, flexible, or a certain age, shape or size to attend. Lara supports each person in developing a healthier, more confident relationship with their body and movement. Classes focus on helping you learn to work with your body, let go of fear or inhibition, and build strength and confidence gradually. Many people notice steady improvements in fitness, flexibility, balance, and mobility week by week.
Coming on your own? Most people do. You will be made to feel genuinely welcome, and first-time nerves usually disappear very quickly.

By proceeding with a booking, you confirm your agreement to the terms as stated on this website.
- Payment must be made immediately after submitting your booking form to confirm your class booking and secure your place. Due to high demand for class spaces, non-payment within 24 hours will result in your booking reservation being cancelled.
- All class bookings are non-refundable.
- No class credit or transfer will be provided if you do not cancel your booking at least 24 hours before the class start time, or you fail to attend your scheduled class. No-shows and late cancellations forfeit payment.
